Today I am reviewing Rouge Descendant by Jenna Black. This is the third book in her Nikki Glass series where the major characters are descendants from gods. This book was released on 30th April.
There is so much to say about this book but trying not to spoil any of the storyline. From the moment I picked it up on Friday afternoon I couldn't put it down. Jenna Black has a way of drawing the reader in from the first page. I was up until 2am Sunday morning finishing the book. The books in this series only come out once a year so it is easy to forget who some on the back characters are or some of the story lines but Jenna nicely weaves the back story in the book without over doing it
The main character is Nikki glass who is a descendant of the Greek god Artemis. The book has only progress about 3 months since the beginning of book 1 and Nikki is still trying to understand her powers let alone all the rules she needs to play by. In this book the bad guy is to trying to get to by hurting and destroying things that have value to her or her family. Though the whole book I wasn't really sure who the bad guy was because there is a few to choose from and Jenna Black is skilled at diverting to another possibility and the twist in the last 70 pages were fantastic.

| Morgan Kingsley Series |
If you have read Jenna's other books you would know she can sometimes have some very steamy scenes in these books not so much and the first book there is nothing. I like that about these books because when it does happen it is very intense and feels right for the storyline. The one thing I am unsure of is if she will explore the love triangle that she has set up or if the other relationship between Blake and Steph will evolve with all the problems they face.
One thing I would have loved to have read more about is Nikki's past. In book 2 we read about some of Nikki's memories when she had been abandoned by her mother. In this book it is more about her feelings towards her adoptive parents and sister. She is a very screwed up character emotionally and Jenna explores this though the book in the way Nikki interacts with the other characters and how she even sees herself.

| Novella I want to read |
I loved this book and so far it is the best of the year. Hope I don't have to wait to long for the novella Pros
and Cons to be released in Australia so I can read that as well.
